A “Birthday Verse” is a verse from the Bible that uses the numeric birthday month for the chapter and the day for the verse. For example, someone with a birthday of August 24 would have a “Birthday Verse” of 8:24.

Since everyone has a birthday, this leads to a fun, unique method of teaching Bible navigation. Children and adults love scouring the Bible to read their “Birthday Verse” in each book of the Bible. In so doing, they discover where books are in the Bible, book and even chapter lengths. This project is ideal for ages 10 through 110!
